FundingPips Daily Reset Time & Drawdown Rules
Last updated: September 2026
Prop firms / FundingPips
FundingPips runs its evaluations on MetaTrader, which means every rule is measured against the broker server clock rather than your local time.
Rather than assert a reset time we have not verified with the firm, the practical answer is below: read the server clock in your terminal, confirm the reset in your FundingPips dashboard, and track the day against that.
When the FundingPips trading day resets
We have not independently verified FundingPips's reset time, so we will not print one as fact — being wrong about a reset time is how an account gets breached. Check it in your FundingPips dashboard, and read your broker's server clock from the Market Watch panel in MetaTrader. Firms running on MetaTrader are usually on server midnight, which is normally EET (UTC+2 in winter, UTC+3 in summer).
How FundingPips measures drawdown
Static drawdown — measured from your starting balance.
The distinction matters more than the percentage. A static drawdown sits under your starting balance and never moves, so your worst case is fixed from day one. A trailing drawdown climbs behind your profits, which means the level that breaches you is a moving target — and where a firm lets that floor climb past your starting balance, you can fail while still showing a profit.
Why FundingPips accounts actually fail
- Assuming your local midnight is the reset is the most common and most expensive mistake — the two are rarely the same moment.
- Confirm whether your programme uses a static or a trailing maximum drawdown; they fail in completely different ways.
- Server time shifts against UTC when EET changes, even though the terminal clock looks unchanged.
Track it without doing the arithmetic
The Pips Project keeps a live count of the headroom left on each limit, measured on FundingPips's own reset clock rather than your local midnight, and follows a trailing floor when the firm trails one. It also tells you which limit binds first, because that is the number that actually stops you. See how it works, or read our guide to journalling a prop-firm challenge.
Frequently asked
What time does the FundingPips daily drawdown reset?
Confirm it in your FundingPips dashboard. Prop firms running on MetaTrader almost always reset at midnight on the broker server clock, which is usually EET (UTC+2 in winter, UTC+3 in summer) — but verify rather than assume, because breaching on a wrong assumption costs the account.
How do I check the server time my rules are measured against?
Open Market Watch in MetaTrader. The clock shown there is the broker server time that every prop-firm rule is measured against, and it is usually several hours away from your own.
How do I work out the reset in my own timezone?
Take the server time from Market Watch, compare it with your own clock at the same moment, and the difference is your offset. Apply that to the firm’s reset and you have the moment your trading day turns over locally. Write down the date you measured it, because server clocks in Europe shift by an hour when EET changes, and an offset calculated in January will be wrong by July.
What happens if I get the reset time wrong?
You mis-read how much of the daily allowance is left. Losses you believe belong to yesterday may still be counted against today, so a position you size as safe can breach the limit instead. This is a silent failure: nothing warns you, the account simply fails on a trade that looked acceptable. It is why confirming the reset is worth more than any amount of strategy tuning.
